Mandy Toro Andara is a prominent Venezuelan artist with a background in Fine Arts, Philosophy, and Psychoanalysis.

Her work has been widely recognised and awarded, establishing her as a leading figure in contemporary art.

In 1994, Mandy began studying art and has since participated in various workshops in printmaking, ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, Chinese calligraphy, and art history, both at the Julio Arraga School of Fine Arts and at the Experimental Art Faculty of the University of Zulia. From 2010 to the present, she has continued her training at the Fine Arts workshops in Paris.

Additionally, she has completed two specialisations in Lacanian psychoanalysis (at the NEL in Maracaibo and the NUCEP in Madrid) and continues to study psychoanalysis at the Clinical Section in Paris. Mandy was a founding member of the philosophical study group “Wittgensteinian Circle” in Maracaibo and has written several philosophical articles on art, aesthetics, and the philosophy of language, which have been published in peer-reviewed journals. As an artist, she has participated in over fifty group exhibitions, and her work has been recognised with various awards and distinctions in France and Venezuela. She will soon hold her first solo exhibition at the Centro de Bellas Artes in Maracaibo, from the 2nd to the 30th of August 2024.

Currently works as an artist, teacher, and psychoanalyst in Paris, France.
